Running pain that keeps coming back? Let’s fix the cause.
If running has been hurting, you’ve probably already tried:
Taking a few weeks off
New shoes or inserts
Stretching and foam rolling after every run
Cutting your mileage way down
Sometimes that works for a while. Then you build back up for your next race… and the same pain shows up at the same mile.
Running is your stress relief, your routine, and often your community. We want to keep you in it.
What we see in runners
Knee pain around or behind the kneecap (often called runner’s knee)
Pain on the outside of the knee or hip (often blamed on the IT band)
Shin splints and shin pain that builds as you add miles
Achilles and calf pain, especially with speed work or hills
Heel and arch pain first thing in the morning
Hip and low back pain on longer runs
Most running injuries don’t start with one bad step. They build up over weeks of doing a little more than your body is ready for.
Why running injuries linger
We commonly see:
Mileage, speed, or hills that ramped up faster than your body could adapt
Hip, calf, and foot strength that hasn’t kept up with your running
Running mechanics that put extra stress on the same spot every step
Not enough recovery, sleep, or fuel for your training load
An old injury that never fully recovered and changed how you run
Rest calms the pain down. It doesn’t build the strength and capacity you need to handle your training.
Why your running pain keeps coming back
Most people follow a pretty similar pattern:
01 — You stop running. A few weeks off to let it calm down.
02 — It feels better. Walking and easy runs feel fine.
03 — You build back up. Same plan, same mileage jump, same mechanics.
04 — It comes back. Nothing about how your body handles running has changed.
Breaking that cycle means building you up while keeping you running as much as safely possible.
How we help
We don’t guess…we assess. Your first visit is a full hour, 1-on-1 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. From there, your plan follows our three steps:
FEEL BETTER: Calm it down. Hands-on treatment and smart changes to your mileage, so the pain settles without losing all your fitness.
MOVE BETTER: Rebuild it. We build hip, calf, and foot strength and clean up your running mechanics. When it helps, we use our running analysis with a wearable sensor to see exactly what’s happening with every step.
PERFORM BETTER: Keep it. We guide your return to full mileage, speed work, and race day, with a plan to keep you running for years.
You’ll leave your first visit knowing what’s going on, what to do next, what to modify for now, and roughly how long it should take.

Runner Questions People Often Ask
Do I have to stop running?
Usually not completely. You may need to change your mileage or intensity for a while, but stopping is rarely the whole plan.
Can you help me get ready for a race?
Yes. We’ll work around your race date and help you build up without getting hurt.
Do I need new shoes?
Sometimes, but shoes are rarely the whole answer. We look at your strength, mechanics, and training first.
Do you take insurance?
We’re an out-of-network provider, which lets us spend a full hour 1-on-1 with you. Many clients use HSA/FSA cards or submit our documentation to their insurance for possible reimbursement.
