The gym is your thing. Pain shouldn’t take it away.

If something’s been bugging you at the gym, you’ve probably already tried:

  • Skipping the exercises that hurt

  • Going lighter and lighter

  • Stretching and foam rolling between sets

  • Taking a week or two off

Then you get back into your routine… and the same thing flares up.

What we see in gym-goers

  • Shoulder pain with pressing, push-ups, or overhead work

  • Low back pain after deadlifts, rows, or long classes

  • Knee pain with squats, lunges, or the stair climber

  • Hip pain at the bottom of a squat

  • Elbow and wrist pain from lots of grip and push-ups

Many of our clients train at places like Orangetheory Fitness, M-Power Gym, Dayton Functional Fitness, and Kelli’s Body Shop, and we know how much those workouts mean to them.

Why gym pain lingers

  • Doing the same movements the same way, week after week

  • Jumping into a new program or class too fast

  • Mobility limits that force your body to compensate

  • Strength gaps between your left and right sides

  • Not enough recovery between hard days

Resting calms it down. It doesn’t fix what caused it.

Our approach: keep you training

We’ll never tell you to just stop going to the gym. We’ll show you what you can keep doing, what to modify for now, and how to build back up.

Every session is 1-on-1 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who understands lifting and group training, so your plan fits the way you actually work out.

How we help

We don’t guess…we assess. Your first visit is a full hour, 1-on-1 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. From there, your plan follows our three steps:

FEEL BETTER: Calm it down. Hands-on treatment and smart workout changes so the pain calms down while you keep training.

MOVE BETTER: Rebuild it. We fix the mobility, strength, and technique issues behind the problem.

PERFORM BETTER: Keep it. We build you back to your full routine, heavier lifts, and every class you love.

You’ll leave your first visit knowing what’s going on, what to do next, what to modify for now, and roughly how long it should take.

“Not sure a five-star rating is high enough.” — Pete

Gym-Goer Questions People Often Ask

Do I need to stop training?

NO! PLEASE keep training. We can usually adjust things so you keep moving safely. Worst case, you hold off on one movement while you keep training everything else.

Do you only work with serious athletes?

No. If you go to the gym, take classes, or lift to stay healthy, you’re exactly who we love to help.

Can you help me lift with better form?

Yes. We look at how you squat, hinge, press, and pull, and help you find positions that work for your body.

Do you take insurance?

We’re an out-of-network provider, which lets us spend a full hour 1-on-1 with you. Many clients use HSA/FSA cards or submit our documentation to their insurance for possible reimbursement.
