Wrist pain that keeps coming back? Let’s fix the cause.

If your wrist has been bugging you, you’ve probably already tried:

  • Wrist wraps for every workout

  • Doing push-ups on your knuckles or on dumbbells

  • Skipping burpees, planks, or front squats

  • Resting it and hoping

Those workarounds can help. Then class has 50 burpees, or you go heavy on cleans… and it’s back.

What wrist pain feels like

Most people notice:

  • Pain on the back of the wrist in push-ups, planks, or burpees

  • Pain holding a barbell in the front rack

  • Clicking or a feeling that the wrist is “unstable”

  • A weaker grip or pain with twisting motions

  • Aching after a long day of typing or using your phone

Your hands touch almost every exercise. When your wrist hurts, workouts get a lot smaller.

Why your wrist hurts

The wrist is small, but it handles a lot of your body weight in training. We commonly see:

  • Limited wrist extension, so the joint gets jammed under load

  • Forearm and grip strength that haven’t kept up with training

  • Shoulder and elbow positions that put extra stress on the wrist

  • High-volume classes with lots of planks, burpees, and push-ups

  • Technique in cleans and front squats that loads the wrist instead of the shoulders

Wraps and workarounds manage the pain. They don’t build a wrist that can handle the load.

Why your wrist pain keeps coming back

Most people follow a pretty similar pattern:

01 — You work around it. Wraps on, knuckle push-ups, skip the burpees.
02 — It feels okay. Most days are manageable.
03 — You go back to full volume. A big class or a heavy session.
04 — It flares up again. Your wrist still isn’t ready for that load.

We help you stop working around your wrist and start building it up.

How we help

We don’t guess…we assess. Your first visit is a full hour, 1-on-1 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. From there, your plan follows our three steps:

FEEL BETTER: Calm it down. Hands-on treatment and smart modifications so you can keep training while your wrist settles down.

MOVE BETTER: Rebuild it. We improve wrist mobility, build forearm and grip strength, and fine-tune your positions for push-ups, front rack, and burpees.

PERFORM BETTER: Keep it. We progress you back to full classes and heavy lifts, with a plan to keep your wrists strong.

You’ll leave your first visit knowing what’s going on, what to do next, what to modify for now, and roughly how long it should take.

Wrist Questions People Often Ask

When should I get it looked at?

If your wrist has bothered you for a few weeks or keeps coming back, it’s worth getting looked at. If you fell on your hand and have swelling, bruising, or significant pain, see a physician first to rule out a fracture.

Do I need to stop training?

NO! PLEASE keep training. We can usually adjust things so you keep moving safely. Worst case, you hold off on one movement while you keep training everything else.

Should I wear wrist wraps?

Wraps can be a helpful tool for heavy lifts. If you need them for everything, that’s a sign your wrist needs more strength and mobility, and that’s what we build.

Do you take insurance?

We’re an out-of-network provider, which lets us spend a full hour 1-on-1 with you. Many clients use HSA/FSA cards or submit our documentation to their insurance for possible reimbursement.
